Peter Kempf was born 1945 in Halberstadt, Germany, and spend his youth in Bottrop; he now lives in Oberhausen/Rheinland.

Since 1989 he has specialised in dedicate paintings, using oil and watercolours as well as more vivid shades and also uses acrylic colours.

Beside his still life painting, his particular interest is painting life-like romantic landscapes.
